Patient Reviews of Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Clinic
Dr. Stacey was wonderful. Very thorough and compassionate. Still have tinnitus, of course, but she helped me navigate what path I wanted to take for care. I ended up getting my hearing aids closer to home and she was very supportive and helped guide me through finding a good provider. I trust her expertise and judgement.
I was referred to the Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Clinic by my Sanford ENT almost 4 years ago, following deployment of two airbags to my left side in a MVA. I honestly don’t know how I would be coping today if not for the hearing devices, pink noise, and treatments provided by Dr Leyendecker and his staff. The hearing loss, buzzing, ringing, pinging, and pain are managed. I am so thankful for this clinic and their care
I have been suffering from Tinnitus for a year, trying every possible approach. Chiropractic care, osteopath, acupuncture, vitamins, zinc, magnesium, gingko biloba, I did it all, the practitioners were great but could not solve the riddle.
My life has CHANGED DRAMTICALLY since coming hear 😉 …here to get help for my tinnitus. Great Staff, from Maija at the front desk to Kathy Wieser & James Johnston whom worked with me this last year taking AWESOME care of me!
I live in Wisconsin but drive to Audiology Concepts in Edina because it is worth it. All of the staff are friendly, and more importantly they really want to help. Dr. Leyendecker has gone beyond my expectations by always giving me straight answers (whether I like them or not) and then options to improve not just my hearing and tinnitus, but my life.
I finally went to the Tinnitus Clinic and the initial consultation was very clear, outlining a different strategy. Dr. Jason Leyendecker explained the process of Habituation, and it involves using a set of hearing aid, loaned by the Clinic for a week. I was skeptical at first, but I spent the best week in a year. I felt I had control on the tinnitus, anxiety levels were much lower, I feel so good today, I am going ahead with the treatment. I definitely recommend this clinic.
I am a huge fan of the Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Clinic. I’ve been a musician for 30 years with a case of tinnitus for most of that time. I have also struggled with misophonia, a condition that has been a source of stress and frustration for my entire life. This clinic has validated that misophonia is actually a real condition that some people experience, and they have provided a solution in the form of their hearing aid products and services that has really served as an effective tool for me to deal with it. I’ve had hearing aids for 6 months that have boosted frequencies in my ears that are below what they should be and allowed me to increase pink noise when I’m in a quiet environment with sounds that irritate me. The solution has worked really, really well for me and I am very grateful for their expertise and understanding. I can’t recommend them enough!
This is the only audiology practice in the Twin Cities that treats hypersensitivity combined with hearing loss. Dr Rachel assured me that my condition was both real and treatable. She explained very clearly how my auditory system will be retrained to accept more sounds. She conducted a much more thorough investigation into my sound tolerance and designed a treatment plan for me. They are knowledgeable and patient and assure me that my sound tolerance will improve over a year or more of treatment. I was very concerned that I would not tolerate hearing aids, but the experience has been good over a few months. If you have complex hearing issues like hypersensitivity and tinnitus, this is the place to start.
